Brenda Otieno’s lawyers wrote Bahati a demand letter after he failed to pay her.
The video vixen had given Bahati a 24-hour ultimatum to reach out to her to discuss payment for her role in ‘Adhiambo’ hit song which the singer collaborated with Prince Indah.
Bahati however responded to Brenda by sharing a video mocking her after she gave him the ultimatum.
Brenda was ultimately forced to seek legal counsel after Bahati downplayed her threats.
She got lawyers to write Bahati a demand letter.
“Bahati I have tried reaching you, I have given you enough time to reach out to me. I have kept quiet for a very long time, I have been talking on social media you are not reaching out to me. You go ahead post a video mocking me because I am demanding for my right. Now let me tell you, I have gone the legal way and this is a demand letter. I demand you to pay me my money. He is a demand letter from my lawyer. Tunakutana kotini, you must pay me sikuachi,” Brenda said as she showed off the demand letter.
Speaking during an interview with Nicholas Kioko, Brenda said she wanted to be paid 20% of the revenue generated from ‘Adhiambo’ song, saying she wanted to be paid Ksh4 million.
“I demand 20% of what that video has brought out as an income. I demand a 20 per cent from the income you have gotten from that video. Or else I demand for my video to be removed from that song. I don’t want to see myself, I don’t want to associate myself with that video if I am not to be paid.
“I demand for 20 per cent or else you pull down that video. I demand to be paid 4 million out of this video,” she said.
During a recent Interview with Plug TV, Prince Indah expressed his willingness to pay off the Ksh4 million Brenda Otieno but only if she justifies her influence in the music.
“Mimi nitamlipa hiyo pesa lakini kwanza akuje aseme the special aspect she brought in the video that makes her demand the amount,” Prince Indah said.
