Rihanna once sued her father Ronald Fenty at the height of their family feud, but she has since forgiven him and mended their relationship.
In 2019, reports emerged that Rihanna was filing a lawsuit against her father and accusing him of exploiting their surname to promote his entertainment company.
However, in September 2021, further reports emerged that the parties reached an out-of-court settlement in an effort to avoid a public dispute.
The RnB singer scrapped the lawsuit just weeks before they were meant to meet in court. It’s believed they settled the case.
Rihanna and her father, a former alcoholic and crack addict, have had a troubled relationship over the years.
But it has now emerged that Rihanna and her father are now in good terms completely.
Ronald Fenty opened up about his relationship with his daughter after the singer announced that she is pregnant.
The RnB superstar confirmed her first pregnancy by strolling through Harlem slum in New York with boyfriend A$AP Rocky — and her growing belly on full display.
Ronald Fenty said that his daughter broke news about her pregnancy to him before he announced it to the world – indicating that the two had completely fixed their strained relationship.
He told Page Six from his home in Caribbean island nation of Barbados that Rihanna called him with the news that he will be a grandpa just before she went public about her pregnancy.
“I got the news from her and she sent me some photos. I’m just over the moon. She’s beautiful inside and out,” Ronald Fenty said.
He added that;
“I’m ecstatic. I’m so happy that I jumped for joy. I’m still so excited. Rihanna always said that she wanted children, she loves kids. She always takes care of her cousins’ kids…she’s going to be a good mom.”
