Photos Of Nyota Ndogo’s Bungalow That Was Demolished Vs The Mansion She Built Later

Nyota Ndogo cried a river when government demolished her 3-bedroom bungalow in 2014, but she built a bigger house later.

The Coast based singer built her own bungalow through own sweat and hard work, but the house was brought down in December 2014 by government’s bulldozer.

Nyota Ndogo’s bungalow in Voi was among several properties demolished in 2014 to pave way for the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).

However, the singer received millions from the government as it compensated land owners who were affected by the construction of SGR.

Nyota Ndogo used the money she received as compensation to put up another new three-bedroom bungalow in another parcel of land she bought in Voi.

In 2018, she thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta for compensating her three-bedroom house that was demolished by government.

“Baada ya serikali kuleta barabara mpya ya gari la moshi nilikuwa moja kati ya waliobomolewa nyumba zao ili barabara lipite but kinachonifanya nimepende Uhuru Kenyatta ni kusema kila mwenye haki yake alipwe, nililipwa nikajenga hii.”

Nyota Ndogo used the money paid as compensation to build another bungalow and she also constructed some rental houses.
