“Yaani July 10 ilikua jana na Akothee amenyamazia hii second wedding akiwa Migori tu?” Madam Boss said the second wedding would be on July 10, 2023, with the same bridal team in Switzerland, where her husband Denis Omosh Schweizer comes from.
Akothee recently tied the knot with her lover Denis Schweizer in a grand ceremony held at the Windsor Golf Hotel in Nairobi.
Months after their Nairobi wedding, Akothee announced there would plans to fly her entire bridal team to Switzerland for a second wedding celebration. However, with the excitement and glamorous affair then, controversy has erupted on social media as netizens wonder what happened to the second wedding as promised.
Akothee took to social media to announce her intentions of holding a second wedding in Switzerland on July 10, 2023.
She excitedly shared that her entire bridal team from the previous ceremony would join her for this event. The announcement created buzz among her followers, who eagerly anticipated more lavish celebrations.
“Allow me introduce to you to The Royal Bridal Party gang, our super gang heading to Switzerland for July 10, 2023, Esther Weds Denis. The whole of this YEAR I am getting married start your planning next year,” she wrote boastfully.
Akothee’s initial wedding ceremony in Nairobi was a star-studded affair, attended by notable personalities from the entertainment and political spheres. Celebrities such as Lang’ata MP Phelix ‘Jalang’o’ Odiwuor, Milly Wa Jesus and her husband Kabi Wa Jesus, Azziad Nasenya, and others formed part of the bridal team.
The guest list included prominent figures like Ida Odinga, Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, MP Millie Odhiambo, CS Aisha Jumwa, Diana Marua, Bahati, and many more. With such high-profile attendees, the wedding garnered significant media attention and generated excitement among fans and followers.
Amidst the joyous occasion, Akothee’s daughter, Rue Baby, voiced her disapproval of guests who shared photos of themselves without including the bride and groom in their captions.
Rue Baby expressed her frustration on social media, calling out those who focused on showcasing their outfits without giving due credit to the couple. Her comments ignited a discussion about social media etiquette.
Rue Baby’s critique prompted a broader conversation on social media etiquette.
Many agreed with her, emphasizing that it is important to focus on the bride and groom when posting about a wedding or any significant event.
They argued that it shows respect and appreciation for the couple’s special day. However, others defended the guests, stating that social media posts often reflect personal experiences and memories, allowing individuals to share their joy and fashion choices without necessarily undermining the event’s importance.
Akothee and Omosh’s second wedding would have been yesterday but Akothee is still in Migori leaving her fans wondering if it was all an act or changes were made, and not communicated to all their in-laws online.
Akothee announced that the wedding had been pushed to September but many had July 10 stuck on their minds.
”We pushed the dates to September. I won’t share more details because there are alot of evil eyes out there. This time it will be different, no drama, no social media or countdowns. It will be invited guests only and people will watch it on exclusive TV.”
