Social media is awash with claims that Obinna and Dem wa Facebook are not in good terms.
It all began when Obinna missed Dem wa Facebook’s birthday party, although Obinna was among the first people to receive invites.
“Kuna wenye nilialika hawakuja, lakini with or without them tulifanya tu event vizuri,” the female comedian later shared online, with some interpreting that the message might have been targeting Obinna who was among the key people to miss the event.
Their WeeklyShow has also been cancelled until further notice, further fuelling speculations about their relationship.
Adding salt to the injury, Dem wa Facebook was no where to be seen during Obinna’s live show that is usually held on Mondays.
Amid the rumours, Obinna took to social media sharing his video with a cryptic message.
“Do you know why a ship sinks, it is not because of the water around it, it is because of the water that get’s into it,” he simply said.
Comedian Profate, also known as Mama Kaunti, who works with both Obinna and DEM wa Facebook however made a video explaining why the Weekly Show had been paused, hinting that Obinna and Dem wa Facebook might be having issues.
“Fans, we have become too much until we are destroying it. We are destroying it. We keep telling ourselves what we should do, like let’s unite and give Bebi a reading or give Obinna a lecture. To a point even the morale to work goes down. So for now, let them rest their minds, and let Bebi stay with her family and Obinna with his until they calm down,” he said.
