North Korea Dictator Kim Jong-un Bans Citizens From Laughing, Drinking Alcohol And Showing Signs Of Happiness For 11 Days

North Korean government has vowed severe punishment for its citizens who would dare laugh, drink alcohol or show any signs of happiness for the next 11 days.

North Koreans have been banned from laughing, drinking, or showing signs of happiness for 11 days to mark the 10th anniversary of former leader Kim Jong Il’s death.

Kim Jong Il ruled North Korea from 1994 to 2011 when he died of a heart attack at the age of 69.

Jong Il’s 17 year rule over North Korea was brutal and was characterized by summary executions of dissidents. When he died he was succeeded by his equally evil son Kim Jong-un.

Kim Jong-un’s repressive dictatorship has seen some of the most insane law and directives instituted to further oppress North Koreans.

Kim Jong-un is forcing his people to laugh, drink alcohol or show any signs of happiness for the next 11 days just to commemorate his late father’s 10th death anniversary.

“During the mourning period, we must not drink alcohol, laugh or engage in leisure activities,” a North Korean from the northeastern border city of Sinuiju told Radio Free Asia (RFA).

The source added that North Koreans are not allowed to go grocery shopping on December 17 – the anniversary of Kim Jong Il’s death.

“In the past, many people who were caught drinking or being intoxicated during the mourning period were arrested and treated as ideological criminals. They were taken away and never seen again.

“Even if your family member dies during the mourning period, you are not allowed to cry out loud and the body must be taken out after it’s over. People cannot even celebrate their own birthdays if they fall within the mourning period.”
