In a shocking turn of events, veteran Nollywood actor John Okafor, widely known as Mr Ibu, has recently undergone a life-altering medical procedure. To enhance his chances of recovery, the decision was made to amputate one of his legs.

A statement shared on Mr Ibu’s verified Instagram page, and attributed to his daughter, revealed that the beloved comic actor underwent a total of seven successful surgeries in a single day, with leg amputation being one of them.

The message expressed the family’s deep gratitude for the overwhelming support they’ve received during this trying time. It emphasized that words could hardly capture the extent of their appreciation and that only the grace of the Almighty could adequately thank everyone who had extended their help.

As of 1 pm, Mr Ibu had endured the ordeal of seven surgeries.

Regrettably, one of these procedures necessitated the amputation of his leg. This decision was not made lightly, but it was deemed necessary to ensure his survival and improve his prospects for recovery.
