Kenyans contributed whole heartedly for legendary rapper Colonel Mustafa, after his video working in a construction site went viral.
In an interview with Eve Mungai, he revealed that Kenyans from different parts of the world including US, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UK have shown him immense support and he is very grateful for that.
The money was aimed at helping the superstar get back on his feet as well as to cater for his mother’s medical bills since she is battling cancer.
Mustafa has however revealed that the money that was contributed in the first face is already finished and he is looking forward to receiving what CAS Charles Kanyi Njagua aka Jaguar and his friends contributed for him.
The legendary singer further broke down how he spend the money.
“The money Kenyans contributed, thanks Kenyans very much, the money they send has helped me clear my mum’s bills which was Kshs500k, I cleared debts that amounted to about Kshs200k, I paid for therapy with Kshs50k, I used Ksh50k to get stock for clothes and I paid 5months rent for the shop which is Kshs50k. We are already done with this side, we are waiting for the Hon. Jaguar’s side, Mzazi, Big Tedd what they they contributed for me,if they will call me to see them it will be okay and I also have the pay bill,” he said.
He added that he plans to renovate his shop located in Chokaa and is looking forward to open more cloth lines.
He further said that he is not considering making a comeback in music but will do a thanksgiving song for Kenyans.
“Honestly I am not into music unless fans want me to do one last song for them for all they have done for me, there is something I will thank them with. They will see after that they will tell me if I should continue with music or not,” he said.
Jaguar and his friends raised a million and will be soon be submitting the funds to Mustafa.
