“Nimekubali Kulala Njaa Kuprotect My Name” Vicmass Luodollar Turns Down Ksh700,000 Show After Promoter Misspelt His Name

Vicmass Luodollar forgets he used to be a hawker before fame and money, now pride has gotten better of him and he is turning down high paying gigs because of lame accuses.

Luodollar recently raised eyebrows after he bragged that he turned down a Ksh700,000 show because event organizers misspelt his name.

Speaking to a local publication, the flamboyant Luo rapper stressed that his name carries a lot of weight than the money he was offered to perform.

According to Luodollar, he turned down the Ksh700,000 show after the promoter omitted an ‘s’ in his name, and wrote it as ‘Vicmas’ instead of ‘Vicmass’ in promotional posters for the gig.

“Nishawahi acha show ya Ksh700,000 juu waliandika poster mbaya. Waliandika Vicmass na s moja. Jina langu ni Vicmass na ‘s’ mbili and it has a meaning. And the name ‘Luodollar’ has space between it,” he said.

Vicmass Luodollar further stressed that his name has a deeper meaning to him that he is willing to do anything possible to make people get it right.

The flamboyant Luo rapper insisted that the Ksh700,000 offered to him was a small amount compared to the brand his name holds for him.

“So nikukuambia umeandika jina langu vibaya halafu ukatae… Ksh700K is not a lot of money compared to my name. Nimekubali kulala njaa just to protect my name because its my brand,” Luodollar said.

Adding that;

“So you know, no amount of money can replace the spelling of my name, my name is Vicmass LuoDollar. It is not just an “aka” it has a deeper meaning that is very personal and dear to my heart. I will go all lengths to make sure you get it right no gimmicks.”

During the interview, Luodollar also narrated the hardships he went through to make it in the music industry.

“I went to KBC, KISS FM and would drop compact discs at the reception. One thing that broke my heart was while I was submitting my song called ‘Pesa’ I found my other song in the dustbin at the radio station,” said the rapper.

Vicmass Luodollar used hawk biscuits, sweets and other things in the streets of Kisumu just to make end meets.
