Soon after, Bahati followed suit and he later revealed that he had to distance himself from the “Gospel music industry” due to years of conflict and in fights within their own created circles.
He also mentioned that he had made the decision to no longer identify solely as a gospel musician.
He clarified that he has not broken his relationship with God and still considers himself to be a faithful believer.
However, he pointed out that the same God who blesses mainstream artists like Sauti Sol, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and even Chris Brown, is the same God who blesses gospel artists.
He shared that he had been facing numerous challenges in the “gospel industry” even before he made the decision to leave.
Although he did not mention any specific names, he explained that certain individuals within the industry had mistreated him.
Despite not having done anything to them, he felt that they were rooting for his failure; he continues to survive and soar.
Bahati in his latest song alongside DK Kwenye Beat, whose career was greatly affected by s3x scandals allegations years back says, he’s stopped smoking mavela which is basically weed and mabebe to mean numerous women.
This comes days after fans told him, “Bahati Wa Barua before Marua” was a beast musically, insinuating that after marriage and his switch to secular music, he’d lost his mojo musically!
