“Kwanza alipe dowry! I’ve been raising the kid alone while Arrow Bwoy is on tour abroad,” Nadia Mukami says.
Nadia Mukami is making headlines with her public plea for financial support from her baby daddy, Arrow Bwoy. Nadia’s demands stem from the need for financial assistance in raising their child, Kai, as well as the unresolved issue of unpaid dowry.
Addressing the media upon her return to Kenya from the United States, Nadia opened up about her reasons for seeking child support from Arrow Bwoy. She highlighted the challenges she faced while he was on tour, leaving her solely responsible for their son.
“I feel I need an allowance because he has been touring. He went to Australia when the baby was six weeks for two months. So he needs to pay me for all that work I’ve put in,” Nadia says.
Financial support is not the only matter causing concern in their relationship.
Nadia is also seeking official recognition as Arrow Bwoy’s wife, a status that has yet to be formalized through the payment of dowry.
“He has not yet paid the dowry. So it would be very bad for my father and the elders if I claim a status as a wife. He (Arrow Bwoy) understands that it’s not out of malice. He even knows I keep repeating this message,” Nadia explained.
Initially, the couple had planned to hold a traditional ceremony, but those plans fell through. Nadia acknowledges that pressuring a man into such matters is not good and could potentially harm the relationship. “That is up to him; you know you cannot pressure a man. It’s weird; it won’t feel natural,” she added.
Nadia was quick to clarify that her statements are not intended to be disrespectful but rather to bring attention to unresolved issues within their relationship.
“But it’s the truth. Even Arrow Bwoy knows, and he is not upset. Before I go and say anything on social media, I know my partner. There is nothing that he’s ever said about me that has ever upset me,” Nadia emphasizes.
