Akothee dated Nelson Oyugi alias Nelly Oaks on/off for many years, the two parted ways again in April 2022.
On April 21st, Akothee took to social media and announced that she had broken up with Nelly Oaks. She claimed that she had been dumped by her former manager.
“Nimeaachwa imagine I am single again. Hii relationship usichukulie personal,” wrote Akothee.
She added that;
“Do you remember when I told you I am taken! Well till death do us part just parked and left! I am single again guys the road to relationship is always under construction.”
Nelly Oaks served as Akothee’s manager before they fell in love and started publicly dating.
The two lovebirds had been under criticisms for long. Many people for a long time believed Nelly Oaks was with Akothee because of her money, somewhat a gigolo.
He stuck by the singer even when she was still having flings with old white men sparking speculations that he is her toyboy.
Nelly Oaks has since come out to deny claims that he was depending on Akothee’s money to ‘survive’.
Contrary to what many believed that he was fully dependent on Akothee as his sugar mummy, the man has finally opened up about how he used to earn his money.
In a post on social media, Nelly Oaks noted that he used to hustle hard like any other man out there and that he was not being given everything by Akothee.
