A 39-year old man from Kagoto village in Nakuru stabbed another man to death after catching him with his wife in his home early Saturday morning.
It is alleged that Micah Nyaberi Bogomba returned to his home at around 3.00 am only to find 34-year old Boniface Njagi Maina in bed with his wife Harriet Vivian Mboga.
Bogomba who had returned home from a journey demanded to know what was going on. In the process he attacked the deceased with kicks and blows before taking a knife and stabbing him on the back.
According to Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Bogomba stabbed Maina after he requested for his shoes so that he could take his leave.
Police from Kagoto police station who rushed to the scene of crime found the deceased body lying in a pool of blood at the gate.
Police also found blood spattered on the walls and house items in the suspect’s house, which has since been documented by crime scene detectives.
The man and his wife were arrested and are currently in custody to help with the investigations into the death of Maina.
Nakuru police boss Beatrice Kiraguri said they are investigating the matter. The body of the deceased was taken to a local mortuary.
Aside from that, a man suspected to be the mastermind behind the murder of the four bikers in Kitengela will remain in custody for four more days as detectives conclude their investigations.
The request to have him detained was granted by Kajiado resident magistrate Becky Cheloti.
40-year-old Benson Melonye Ole Mungai was arrested in connection with the heinous murder of the four friends that occurred on August 8.
Melonye was arraigned in court on Friday after being in custody for 10 days following an application to the court by DCI detectives on August 17.
