Akuku Danger is in desperate need of a lot of money to avoid a potential lawsuit by Nairobi West Hospital where he was admitted for over a month.
The Churchill show comedian was admitted at Nairobi West Hospital in late December 2021 after he got seriously sick.
Akuku Danger suffers from sickle cell anemia, a chronic condition which lasts through a person’s lifetime.
By the time he was being discharged, Akuku’s bill had accrued to Ksh2 million. A fundraiser was held but didn’t raise the full amount.
The comedian was ultimately discharged from Nairobi West Hospital on January 27th 2022 and allowed to go home even though he owed the facility a lot of money.
Akuku’s girlfriend Sandra Dacha announced on January 28th that the comedian entered into a legal agreement with Nairobi West Hospital to clear his bill within three weeks.
“Akuku Danger was discharged yesterday from Nairobi West Hospital. They drafted an agreement (between him and the hospital) in the presence of a lawyer to have the bill settled in 3 weeks. Tafadhali msichoke kutuma pesa kwa paybill- Number 891300. Account Name Akuku,” Sandra Dacha wrote on January 28th.
Fast forward to March 2nd 2022, Akuku Danger revealed during Q&A that he is yet to fully settle his bill at Nairobi West Hospital.
As per the legal agreement with the hospital, Akuku was supposed to pay his bill by February 17th (three week period).
Akuku told his fans that he still owes Nairobi West Hospital Ksh1.3 million. He urged his fans to continue donating to him through pay bill option.
If Nairobi West Hospital haven’t given Akuku a waiver, it means the comedian is in breach of their legal agreement and they can potentially sue him.
Akuku told his fans that he was still recuperating at home because he had not fully recovered.
The comedian is desperate to land a gig and earn some money to settle his hospital bill as he could be sued by Nairobi West Hospital if he defaults.
Breach of his contract with the medical facility could earn him a date with the court.
