The African popstar Nadia Mukami was among the list of top artists who entertained Kenyans during Oktoba Fest on Saturday November 2.
The vibrant female singer and songwriter took to the stage performing her hit songs.
She however developed chest pains forcing her to go backstage and collapsed in the process.
“Yesterday during Oktoba Fest I had my energy and vibes on stage until my chest couldn’t take it anymore and had an asthma attack. I collapsed on my way backstage,” the mother of one revealed on Instagram.
She added she has been unwell for sometime and was going to take a break from performing in concerts until November 15, so that she could take care of her health.
“A huge thank to my dancers, DJ and team for the prompt response to the Oktobafest team, thank you for your kindness,” Nadia said.
The illness however has not stopped her from attending other events at Carnivore that had been scheduled for Sunday.
“Carnivore see you in a few, Maua see you tonight,” Nadia said.
A section of her fans have sympathized with her asking her to take a break.
“Take rest mama, your health is more important. I wish you a quick recovery,” one said.
