Mwalimu Rachel’s biggest regret in life is managing the defunct Gengetone music group Sailors.
In a video she uploaded on her Instagram account, Rachel said managing Sailors was the decision she regretted the most in her life so far.
In the interview, Mwalimu Rachel revealed that the reason for the separation from the group was due to a misunderstanding with the members.
Mwalimu Rachael was accused by the group’s members of refusing to hand over their YouTube account after their split.
The media personality revealed that she received death threats online from loyal fans of Sailors who accused her of ruining the group.
“The threats I have faced online have really shaken me. My son and I have received death threats from fans because of that YouTube channel,” said Mwalimu Rachael.
Mwalimu Racheal was reprimanded for allegedly being an obstacle to the profession of the musicians, accusations which she strongly opposed.
“I didn’t kill their profession. People may think I did that, and have reached the point of asking my bosses to fire me, despite not knowing anything about the real story.”
The music group included Peter Miracle Baby, Shalkido, Cocos Juma, Masilver and Lexxy Yung.
The group gained fame with their song Wamblambez in 2018 when the Gengetone style hit the East African country.
