Colonel Mustafa will no longer release secular music after undergoing a challenging time in his life.
The rapper said that he will venture into inspirational and gospel songs once he returns to the music industry.
According to him, God has shown him the way and he is waiting to see his actions.
“Yeah, I was thinking of it(gospel music). because we can’t sing about tingisha and stuff you see. God asha nionyesha njia ni gani na atangoja ni nini nataka kufanya kwa jamii, nitaelimisha vijana ama nitaendelea kuimba, kama ni kuimba nitaimba zile nyimbo za kutingisha ama nitaimba inspiration songs. Huko ndio nako enda, you can call it Gospel or Inspiration, that’s the music we are headed” Mustafa said in an interview with Mungai Eve Media.
At the same time, Mustafa noted that as his mother’s health improves he will get chance to write music.
According to him, he has never released thanksgiving songs for God, his fans or his mother.
“Itanipatia nafasi pia kuandika mistari mbili nirudishe shukrani kwa mafans wangu, because naweza lipa muziki kuna pesa kidogo imebaki, at least naweza fungua biashara mbili tatu. So mafans wangoje track moja nawezawatolea ya kuwashukuru, sijawahi toa track ya kushukuru mafans ama kushukuru muumba,” he said
“Sijawahi imbia God hata siku moja. Sijawahi imbia mama mzazi nyimbo. Lazima nimuimbie mama D track kali sana. Mama aniruhusu nimuimbie nimwonyeshe ninvayompenda kwa maneno makali azidi kunipa baraka zake,” Mustafa added
Mustafa also said that he is no longer stressed because his mother is currently in a better place.
“For the first time in my life, naweza weka kichwa niseme nimelala ndio sasa najua penye mum ako, ako safe. coz pesa inaisha, cancer is very expensive, so ukipata mahali unaweza saidiwa unafaa unashukuru. I am so grateful to all Kenyans, for the love and what the treatment has done for my mother. It’s a miracle.”
