Comedian, Content Creator and Radio personality David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah, has announced his departure from Milele FM.
According to the father of three, he arrived the decision because he was unable to reach a consensus with the popular radio station on terms for renewal of his contract.
“End of show konki. I quit. It was a nice run. We finally part ways with milele Fm and media max networks Ltd. Contract came to an end and we could not agree on renewal terms,” Mulamwah said in a statement.
He was however glad because of the experience that he has garnered at the radio station over the years, promising his fans that they would meet in different avenues.
“Thanks to the colleagues and management for the years of work I have gained experience and learnt a lot. To konki fans we will still meet on many other platforms. A new YouTube show and a Mulamwah stand up special coming up (limited tickets availlable) , among many other plans in stock,” he said.
Mulamwah began working at the Radio station in May 2022, where he revealed that being a radio presenter was his dream job.
“To everyone else out there, always do you. It doesn’t matter what people say or think about your art, just focus and give your best and let God work on the rest,” he said in 2022.
A year later, in August 2023, Mulamwah however revealed that he was quitting, citing that they couldn’t agree on certain aspects of his contract with his employer.
