Comedian Mulamwah has publicly apologized to Ruth K, the mother of his child, for past online disputes involving his ex Carol Sonnie.
The heartfelt apology came as they introduced their son, Kalamwah Oyando, to the public for the first time on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
During a candid discussion on Ruth’s YouTube channel, Mulamwah expressed regret for the embarrassing online feud with his ex, Sonnie.
He extended an olive branch, advocating for a peaceful, blended family and cautioning netizens against fueling conflicts between the two women.
“It’s not helpful to pit people against each other,” Mulamwah said.
“I see teams forming online, supporting one side over the other. These ladies are working hard to improve their lives and those of their loved ones. Comparisons only cause harm. I believe we can be one big family, enjoying peace in the online space.”
Mulamwah’s apology came as they reflected on their humble beginnings and the decision to reveal their son’s face. He acknowledged the challenges they faced, particularly the negativity from online conflicts.
“It’s like starting over from scratch. It’s not easy, and I’m thankful to Mama Kalamz for always being there, understanding, and listening to me,” Mulamwah shared, using a term of endearment for Ruth K.
The comedian admitted that dealing with online negativity has been a significant challenge.
“You remember those times I was online for all the wrong reasons, and nobody listened to me. The more you try to explain, the more entangled you become until you just have to leave it to fate.”
He praised Ruth K for her unwavering support throughout these difficult times. “She never judged me. Despite the drama, she stood by me. She listened and has always been on my side.”
Mulamwah expressed gratitude for the peace and love he now feels in his life, attributing much of his renewed confidence and drive to Ruth K.
“I feel better, have more respect, and gained confidence and drive in my work. There’s nothing I can repay her with, but she was there and listened, and we started anew.”
As they wrapped up their discussion, the couple’s focus remained on their joy in parenting and their commitment to fostering a positive and supportive family environment.
Mulamwah’s public apology and call for unity signal a hopeful turn towards reconciliation and peace in their personal lives and the online community.
