“It’s illegal, God doesn’t like it and we should not entertain it.” MP Moha Jicho Pevu also known as MP Mohammed Ali demands.

This comes after a week of human rights organizations and personalities coming out strongly against the killing for model, Edwin Chiloba. Mr. Chiloba was murdered and his body packed in a huge box by his alleged lover Jackton Odhiambo over cheating.

Jackton confessed to the murder saying, the late Chiloba was seeing someone else.

Moha Jicho Pevu’s will sure raffle feathers and governments the wrong way. Earlier today, the US government issued a statement saying that justice for Chiloba and family is paramount. They have asked police investigators to make ensure the culprits are apprehended and punished.

America, takes human rights very serious, and LGBTQ community is one of the most celebrated by powers in their government.

Via his social media page, Moha Jicho Pevu says:

“Let us not waste time discussing LQBTQ or whatever name they call it.” the Member of Parliament, Nyali Constituency says.

“It’s illegal, God doesn’t like it and we should not entertain it. On this one Democracy my foot! Jail them!” he demands.

In a recent interview, President William Ruto claimed that his Christian upbringing teaches him against homosexuality, but that as president, the Constitution and the law will be the driving principles.

During a candid conversation chaired by Mvemba Phezo Dizolele at the Center for Strategic International Studies in 2022, as the DP, Ruto emphasized that no Kenyan should attack another Kenyan simply because they disagree with what they are doing.

President William Ruto also stated that his government will prioritize addressing serious concerns confronting Kenyans.

Ruto again reiterated that he recognizes what everyone believes in and who they are during an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour discussing LGBTQ+ rights in Kenya.

“I am quite clear that we respect everyone and their beliefs, but we also have our beliefs and expect to be respected for our beliefs,” Ruto noted.

Will Moha’s call be heard by the president? We can only wait and see what will happen to the queer within our communities as uproar continues online and on ground.
