Marriage Trouble Not Yet Over: Shakib Conspicuously Absent As Zari Celebrates 44th Birthday

Popular Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan celebrated her birthday in style on September 23, with a grand event in South Africa.

The party, attended by family members and close friends, exuded happiness and elegance, as seen in videos and pictures only recently circulating on social media.

Guests dressed in all-white attire, but what grabbed the most attention was the absence of Zari’s husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya.

Shakib, who has been married to the 44-year-old socialite, was notably missing from the celebration.

Reports suggest the 32-year-old businessman was in Uganda during the festivities, fueling speculation about the state of their marriage.

Additionally, Shakib did not publicly acknowledge Zari’s birthday, sparking further rumors that their relationship is still on the rocks following their recent dispute.

Earlier this month, the couple appeared to be on the path to reconciliation after weeks of tension.

Zari and Shakib were seen enjoying time together during her extended visit to Uganda, seemingly mending their relationship after a public fallout.

The mother of five had previously taken to social media to air her frustrations with Shakib, which led to public speculation about their marriage.

However, she later apologized to her husband, admitting that venting on social media was a mistake.

In a heartfelt statement, Zari expressed regret over how she handled the situation, acknowledging the challenges they faced.

“I made a mistake. I had my frustrations, and unfortunately, I took them to social media,” Zari confessed. “As a normal person, you experience challenges, and things happen. But if you reflect, you see your mistakes.”

During her visit to Uganda, Zari emphasized that her primary goal was to reconcile with Shakib and restore their marriage.

She acknowledged that airing personal issues online was not the right approach and reiterated her desire to win back her husband’s trust.

“I’m here to make things right. If I say whatever I said on the internet was wrong, I agree. I want my husband Shakib back,” she said.

The couple’s relationship has been in the spotlight since August when Zari publicly criticized Shakib and threatened to leave him after he raised concerns about her interactions with her ex-partner, Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz.

Despite their recent reconciliation, Shakib’s absence from Zari’s birthday celebration has left fans questioning whether the marriage has truly recovered from the rocky patch.
