“Wedding ya Manzi wa Kibera na huyu mzee was not real. I am here to protect the brand,” Manzi wa Kibera’s ex has claimed.
Chali wa Kibera, who also doubles up as her manager said that he was not revealing the truth because he is a bitter ex, noting that he has his own life.
“I am not saying it in a bad way, I am just keeping it real, hata kama wako pamoja wanadate I accept. I have my own life but the wedding was not real,” he told Nicholas Kioko.
According to him, his main aim of clearing the air is to protect Manzi wa Kibera’s brand which they had worked so hard to build.
Chali wa Kibera revealed that the socialite and her elderly lover were featured in a music video and the wedding photos were taken from the scenes of the video.
He further noted that Manzi wa Kibera did not announce that she was getting married hence that is point enough to prove that the wedding was not actual.
“The wedding was a project, tulikuwa tunafanya na mtu na Manzi wa Kibera alihappen kupost pictures na hata ukiona kwa posts zake hakuna mahali amesema I wedded, my husband or anything, they are just pictures. Mtandao walichukulia the whole thing kama wedding,” he said.
Chali wa Kibera added that he needed to clear the air since the music video will soon be released.
“Me as her manager nilikaa nikaona at the end of the day hii project tumefanya itatoka and the cat will be out of the bag so mbona tu nisiclear the air mapema becasue I am the maanage na nataka kumake sure brand ake iko secure. It was a music project na hio ilikuwa part yao ya video,” he added.
Addressing allegations of being Manzi wa Kibera’s real husband, Chali wa Kibera said that currently their relationship is professional even after their romantic relationship failed to work out.
“Mimi na Manzi wa Kibera tumetoka far, hata ndio uone sahi ye ni brand tumepitia so many challenges. Tulifika mahali tukasema kama tumework so hard kumake hii brand hakuna haja tuiharibu so mimi ni manager wa Manzi wa Kibera, I am just her manager,” he said.
