“Mimi ni fala for life, but Respect me in my absence!” Shakib tells Zari Hassan after she called him “Fala.”
Shakib Lutaaya, the husband of Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan, has broken his silence after an audio clip surfaced online, where his wife Zari is heard making derogatory comments about him.
Shakib took to social media to express his disappointment over Zari’s disrespectful remarks, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect in a marital relationship.
In his post, Shakib lamented the fact that Zari felt the need to discuss him in such a negative light, publicly airing their personal issues. He firmly stated that no wife should speak ill of her husband, and now demands Zari to respect him even when he is absent.
“Don’t talk bad about your husband to anyone ever. Respect me in my absence, that’s all I ask,” Shakib wrote.
In another post, Shakib offered some words of wisdom, cautioning against the destructive nature of pride and its potential to lead individuals to miss out on irreplaceable experiences.
“Love will have you looking stupid. But pride could have you miss out on something you’ll never find again,” he advised, implying that pride can hinder personal growth and prevent the realization of cherished moments and relationships.
Previously, during their extensive travels around the world, Zari had expressed frustration with Shakib, labeling him as a dull and reliant individual who constantly depends on her for guidance and assistance.
She specifically mentioned that when it comes to visa applications and other travel-related matters, she takes charge of the process as Shakib struggles to assert himself and lacks confidence.
The leaked audio, in which Zari refers to Shakib as ‘Fala,’ quickly went viral, drawing widespread attention and criticism from social media users. The audio has created a significant backlash against Zari, highlighting the negative impact her words had on her husband’s reputation, especially in the African family set up.
Zari also revealed that the audio was leaked by a former friend turned enemy, Lady Naa, after Zari failed to attend her event in the UK.
“The motive behind the leak is an act of revenge, aimed at tarnishing my image and damaging my relationship with Shakib,” the mother of five rants.
