Former Machachari actress Clara Wamaitha aka Cindy Mama Stella opened up about her woes while speaking during an interview with Vickie Vicknah.
Mama Stella, who has been battling Vitiligo years after exiting Machachari, said she slipped into depression over the distasteful things people have been saying about her.
She confessed that she confined herself to the four walls of her home over false accusations of being cursed, infected with HIV or cancer, and even engaging in scandalous affairs.
“Niliskia mambo mengi zilikuwa zinaniumiza, nikadecide nitakaa na familia yangu. My husband alikuwa anafanya shopping. Mimi nilikuwa hapa tu. Watu wanasema alirogwa, ako na HIV, ako na cancer alichomwa, alienda na bwana ya mtu ngozi ikabambuka…”
“Today, I can laugh about it but back then, it could really hurt me. You have these patches, unakaa kama zebra. My depression got fully blown after Machachari ended. Journey ya kutafuta madawa nimetembea na my husband, my two children, my sister and my sister’s daughter. Depression is real,” she said.
