Former Machachari actor Ian Nene, also known as Almasi, a while back revealed his decision to change his religion following his mother’s breast cancer diagnosis.
During a YouTube interview with Shivani Pau, Ian Nene reflected on his upbringing in a Christian family where spirituality and belief in God were highly valued.
He admitted that, at one point, he became curious about religion and asked certain questions that were not adequately addressed.
Ian Nene revealed that while studying at a university in the UK, a friend gave him a book obtained from a monk, which profoundly impacted his life. He spoke candidly about his past as a partygoer, even indulging in marijuana during his time in the UK.
“When I started university, I was living a wild lifestyle, partying and maintaining a connection with a friend who was a drug dealer. I would often smoke weed and engage in deep conversations,” he shared.
Almasi recounted a peculiar incident when, out of the blue, a monk handed him a book while they were relaxing and enjoying themselves.
“He claimed to be a monk, though I couldn’t fully grasp his words at the time. He assured me that reading the book would lead to profound realizations. As if that wasn’t enough, he also handed me a guitar bag, and upon inspecting its back, I noticed a picture of one of our founders. At that moment, its significance eluded me.” Almasi narrated.
Since then, fans have been inviting him back to Christianity and believing Jesus; but he only appreciates their efforts with a thank you emoji.
Anyway, Almasi looks very happy even as he dresses more like a diva often.
As netizens continue to question his sexually, the former TV kid star, continues to live and dance away; their wishes unable to bother him completely.
