Citizen TV couple Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdalla faced an awkward moment on TV when they disagreed with each other live on TV.
The drama was witnessed a while back and was brought by the recent scientific discovery of male oral contraceptive.
The announcement that scientists were on the verge of developing male oral contraceptive sparked mixed reactions and was the subject of discussions all over.
The celebrity couple disagreed over the use of male contraceptives during a discussion on Citizen TV.
Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdalla were part of a panel that included Bi Msafwari and Benjamin Zulu that was discussing the male oral contraceptive.
Bi Msafwari strongly opposed the use of male contraceptive pills and Rashid Abdalla completely agreed with her. However, Lulu Hassan and Benjamin Zulu supported the use of the oral male contraceptive pills.
Msafwari argued that men are delicate and susceptible to negative biological effects of contraceptive use. She insisted that men should protect themselves at all costs and that men’s reproductivity should be taken care of with great caution.
Benjamin Zulu argued that men should use oral contraceptive pills to prevent unwanted pregnancies. He explained that it was not just the responsibility of a woman to be considering the use of contraceptives.
Lulu Hassan supported the argument presented by Benjamin Zulu. However her husband Rashid Abdalla disagreed with his wife. He opposed the use of male contraceptives and chose to side with Bi Msafwari.
It was the first time that the Citizen TV couple disagreed live on air on an issue that affects all marriages. The duo has been together for many years and are blessed with three kids.
Lulu Hassan and her husband Rashid Abdalla were paired to co-host Citizen TV Nipashe Wikendi every Saturday and Sunday beginning July 22nd 2018.
Abdalla arrived at Citizen TV from NTV following the exit of Kanze Dena after she was appointed State House spokesperson by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
