Mugithi singer Samidoh recently shared heartwarming moments from his visit to his first family in the United States.
Days ago, Samidoh and Edday’s eldest daughter, Shirleen, graduated, and the couple, along with their two other children, were present to celebrate the milestone.
“My daughter, child of my youth, you were born shortly after I exited my teenage years. It was a very confusing time for me. I didn’t know whether to go back to school, to feed you, or to fend for myself.
“Ours has been a journey in which we have seen each other grow. Today, I am very proud of you. As i see you graduate to high school – this! I wouldn’t have missed it for anything in the world. My girl, I wish you greatness. Go and conquer because the world is all yours. Congratulations!! As you turn a year older,I wish you a Happy Birthday. Thank you for making Daddy proud.👏❤️,” Samidoh wrote.
Following Shirleen’s graduation, the family enjoyed a celebratory outing with a few other relatives.
In a video that quickly went viral, Samidoh, a polygamous police officer, made light-hearted remarks about feeling too young to have a child in high school.
He humorously suggested that their daughter should repeat a grade.
“You have heard what my husband has said,” Edday added, supporting Samidoh’s playful comments.
Samidoh continued, “Even when you look at our faces, we look very young.” The couple, clearly enjoying their time together, shared a laugh, highlighting the joyful occasion.

The video comes nearly a year after Edday said she had left her husband to Karen Nyamu.
In a social media post from July 2023, Edday stated she was no longer in a polygamous marriage, saying she had left her husband to “whoever needed him more.”
In a lengthy post on social media, Edday said she was not in a polygamous marriage as she had left her husband to Karen Nyamu since she needed him more.
“Lemmie clarify few things that were shared online and not accurate……
“-I am not in any polygamous marriage as stated I left the husband for whoever needed him more. I made a decision to remove myself and my kids from that toxic environment especially my teen daughter who unfortunately is direct recipient of unbelievable behavior displayed …I have managed to sustain my kids needs so far with no help and I am not regretting any bit of it.
“About communication and video calls I will leave that one there since some people seems to be present when that is happening but I’m not aware. In this new season of my life I don’t need any drama, I need peace only ,I hope next episode of this series my name will be left out. #nothingbutprayers #powerofprayers,” Edday wrote.
