Betty Kyallo and her ex-husband Dennis Okari dated for six long years before they got married.
The mother of one opened up about how he fell in love with Okari while speaking during an interview with Billy Maya.
Betty said that during her early days at KTN as an intern her career rose steadily in the newsroom through the guidance of Okari who was her workmate at the standard group-owned station.
“First of all I could not read autocue, so Dennis Okari my ex is the one who actually helped me read the autocue. I think that’s when we fell in love,” Betty Kyallo said.
“He is the one who taught me how to read news. So I have a lot of gratitude towards Dennis Okari for helping me when I was starting out my anchoring carrier. But hey, I game him a daughter Ivanna,” she added.
Okari and Betty dated for about six years and were blessed with a daughter Ivanna before they got married.
The two decided to tie the knot shortly after Ivanna’s birth, they exchanged vows in a colorful wedding held on October 2nd 2015.
However, Betty and Okari went their separate ways just six months after their wedding, infidelity was reportedly the cause of their breakup.
Betty cheated with Hassan Joho and when her ex husband Okari found out he divorced her immediately.
After her marriage crumbled around April 2016, Betty and Joho got into a serious relationship as Okari also moved on.
Okari remarried in February 2019, he tied the knot with Joy Naomi in an invite-only ceremony held at a location on Kiambu Road.
