Inject Party leader Morara Kebaso has broken silence amid speculations that he is wasting money he received through donations to live an extravagant life, including purchasing expensive outfits and accessories.
Kebaso noted that instead of Kenyans focusing on important issues he has been raising on interviews and forums, they focus on trivial things such as what he is wearing. This has left him wondering what Kenyans really want.
“I don’t fundraise for school fees, I don’t fundraise for clothes, I don’t fundraise for rent, I don’t fundraise for my personal life. Which Kenyan has seen me in a club near their town? And when I left the club my bill was maybe 20 or 30 thousand. I am not extravagant,” he said in a social media video.
According to him, the accusations have seen his wife and family questioning him, suspecting that he has been lying to them.
At the same time, the political activist called out those who have labeled him a conman and beggar because of his persistent fundraisers.
“Who have I ever forced to contribute even 10 bob? You send willing because you see the work we do. I do publish the receipts. You who are calling me a beggar do you know that I am opening the door for you to also beg because you will need to beg,” he said.
Kebaso added that; “There is no way young people are going to compete with these corrupt politicians without fundraising money. You will have to fundraise because you don’t where you will still the money. If I am begging you should let me beg so that I open the door for you to also come and beg when you want to an MP.”
