Betty Kyallo’s ex boyfriend Lenana Karibe sparked hilarious reactions after revealing that he only dated her for six short months.
Speaking during an interview with the Star, Karibe revealed he dated Betty while he was a first year student at Daystar University where they were both schooling.
The popular actor however noted that his relationship with Betty didn’t stand the test of time as they only dated for about six months before breaking up.
“With Betty Kyallo we were dating, and here is the thing the reason why people are only hearing about it now is because we only talked about it recently, about maybe a year or two. But Betty and I were dating, but that was what… 10 years ago. That was when I was in Daystar, that was like on my first year. She was in Daystar as well and we met and you know… I liked her and we dated for a bit,” said Lenana Karibe.
“So there is really nothing to hide, we dated for maybe six months I think and then it didn’t work out so that was it. But I and her are still friends now. Yeah we talk, not often but yeah we are cool. We are in good terms, no problems there. But we were dating. It’s not a rumor we were dating, it was long time ago and yeah that’s it. There is nothing much to it,” he added.
Karibe’s confession that he only dated Betty for six months sparked hilarious reactions from netizens who concluded that the media personality is jinxed.
Critics poked fun at how most of Betty’s relationships don’t last long. She broke up with her ex husband Dennis Okari after six months of marriage, broke up with Hassan Joho and recently also broke up with Nick Ndeda after just about five or six months of dating.
