King Kaka poured millions of shillings to build his mother a befitting palatial mansion after years of renting.
The rapper was born and raised in Nairobi by her mother who worked as a fruit vender in the city.
King Kaka’s mother struggled to raise three boys as a single parent, life was quite tough but she taught her children the art of business acumen.
“Growing up my mother taught me the art of five shillings. She used to sell fruits and with that five shillings she managed to take three boys to school. And when I got into the business world getting capital was a major problem,” wrote King Kaka back in 2017.
One of the worst moment for King Kaka was when they were evicted from a house because his mother hadn’t paid rent.
The rapper reminisced about the incident as he took to social media to show off a huge mansion he just finished building for his mother.
“One day I came home from school and Kanjo had placed a Very Big padlock coz we couldn’t afford to pay Kshs 500 rent, I promised my mom that in the future I’ll buy her a house. Fast forward 4days ago we just prayed in the living room of this house that I build for her. The Sounds of a testimony and I am happy that she has a place she can call home. Thankyou mom for putting on a brave face over the years even when I knew things were not okay. Asante and Be blessed. To all the believers, It’s possible! And God is Love,” wrote King Kaka.
King Kaka is currently Kenya’s highest earning musician. He boasts of an impressive business and marketing acumen that has seen him become the darling of national and international corporates.
