Kathy Kiuna Addresses Daughter Stephanie’s Absence at Late Bishop Allan Kiuna’s Burial

Kathy Kiuna, the newly appointed Bishop of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), has publicly addressed why her daughter Stephanie was unable to attend the burial of her father, the late Bishop Allan Kiuna.

Speaking during a church service at JCC Parklands, Kathy explained that Stephanie’s absence was due to unavoidable circumstances.

“I thank God for my children. We miss Stephanie so much. She really did try to come, but for issues beyond our control, she was not able to. But she will come very soon, together with her family,” Kathy explained to the congregation.

Despite the family’s grief, Kathy Kiuna urged the church members to remain united and continue the legacy of her late husband, Bishop Allan Kiuna, who succumbed to cancer.

In a significant moment for the church, Kathy Kiuna was named the new Bishop of JCC just days after her husband’s passing.

The announcement was made by guest speaker, Nigerian preacher Rev. Funke Felix Adejumo, during a service at JCC Parklands.

“My assignment is to present to you your new Bishop. The official consecration will come later to formalize it. But from now, you are free to call her ‘My Bishop’,” Adejumo announced.

Kathy Kiuna, a long-standing pillar of support for her late husband, was taken by surprise at the elevation of her title.

Rev. Adejumo emphasized that Kathy had the necessary qualities and divine calling to lead the church forward.

“God has put in her what it takes, and her name changes from today. From today, I present to you, no longer Reverend, but Bishop Kathy Allan Kiuna,” Adejumo declared.

As Bishop Kathy Kiuna steps into her new role, she remains committed to continuing the work and vision of her late husband, guiding the Jubilee Christian Church with faith and resilience.

The congregation, deeply moved by the recent events, stands united in their support for their new bishop and the legacy of Bishop Allan Kiuna.
