“Sijavunja sheria kuwa na Samidoh! There are kids involved!” Karen Nyamu says.
Karen Nyamu, a prominent Kenyan politician and mother of three, has continued to stand her ground in defense of her relationship with renowned Mugiithi artiste, Samidoh. Despite the intense public scrutiny and controversy surrounding their union, Karen Nyamu remains strong in her commitment to the singer-cum policeman.
In an interview with NTV’s Fredrick Muitiriri, Karen addressed the ethical dimensions of her relationship, asserting that she has not broken any laws and emphasizing the importance of understanding the legal context of polygamy in Kenya.
The relationship between Karen Nyamu and Samidoh has been the subject of intense public scrutiny and debate.
The couple, who share two children together, has faced criticism and judgment from netizens.
During the interview with Fredrick Muitiriri, Karen Nyamu was quick to point out that she had not violated any Kenyan laws by being in a relationship with a man who was already married.
She cited the legal framework for polygamy in Kenya as evidence of her compliance.
“I’m I the only one who posts her family online? Have you seen the president’s family online? That’s not a fair question. Do you know Kenyan law properly? Go and check the law that was passed in our parliament about polygamy. I have not broken any law in that situation. There are kids involved, and I follow the law correctly,” Karen passionately responded.
Samidoh has three additional children with Edday Nderitu, who ended her marriage and has since relocated to the United States.
This complex family situation further adds to the scrutiny and public attention that Karen Nyamu and Samidoh face.
