Mugithi Singer Kareh B Breaks Silence After Her Son Died In Easy Coach Bus Accident in Kisumu

Kareh B is demanding answers following the death of her son caused by an accident involving the Easy Coach bus that was ferrying Chavakali Boys High students.

The students were heading home aboard an Easy Coach bus when it overturned at the Mamboleo junction in Kisumu on Monday night, April 1, 2024.

Kareh B, whose real name is Mary Wangare Gioche, is now accusing the government and Chavakali Boys High School’s management of failure to inform her about her son’s tragic death.

The musician’s 17-year-old son, a student at the school, died in the accident in Kisumu after the institution released him, along with other students, for the April holiday.

“The school administration informed us via the WhatsApp platform that the students would board an Easy Coach bus. I was uncomfortable with them being released at 11pm, but there was consensus among parents,” Kareh B stated.

Kareh B also claims she has yet to receive any messages of condolences from the school or the government.

“I need answers. I’m breaking Apart. I have been a parent at Chavakali Boys for the past four years, and no one has called to inform me of my son’s death or better still condole with me,” she wrote in an emotional post.

Kareh B additionally questioned the government over measures taken to avert the increasing cases of road carnage in the country.

“What measures are you putting in place to curb the accidents… do we need to resurrect Michuki,” she wrote.

In an interview with Citizen TV, the musician said she had a premonition about the accident that kept her awake past midnight on the fateful Monday.

Kareh B however noted that she just thought she was being nervous over nothing, attributing her distress to the surge in road accidents in the country.
