Kamene Goro’s exit has sparked a chain reaction in radio as presenters benefit from her leaving.
Sheila Kwamboka and Hannah Gitau alias Annitah Raey are the radio presenters who have benefited from Kamene’s exit.
Kwamboka moved to Kiss FM to replace Kamene leaving a vacancy at Vybz Radio where she used to work.
Annitah now joins Standard Group-owned media station Vybz Radio to replace Sheila Kwamboka.
She returned to radio on Friday, January 20, after a two years hiatus.
The veteran radio presenter will host the Morning Vybz show running from 7-10 am alongside Kevin Matara.
Speaking after making a comeback on Vybz Radio, Annitah expressed her gratitude to the station’s management for giving her space to expand her skills.
“I missed the mic (microphone) and well I miss the good vibes. Catch me tomorrow morning (Friday January 20) on Vybez Radio; let’s end the week on style,” Annitah announced.
In November 2020, Annitah parted ways with Hot 96, Royal Media Service-owned station, claiming that the work environment was unfavourable.
“I resigned last week on Wednesday, November 11,” she briefly disclosed.
Annitah, a mental health advocate, maintained that radio would hold a special place in her heart.
“I have never ever ranted about my personal life online. I have never ranted about my work either. I am not about to start today, but I have learned to choose myself above any job because if I died today then someone will replace me tomorrow. I choose my sanity,” she noted.
