In a conversation with bloggers, Justina Syokau opened up about her unique situation and addressed the taboo nature of her celibacy. She reflected on the difficulties she has faced as a single woman in a society where traditional values are deeply rooted.

“I have been alone for ten years,” she admitted. “I can tell you it’s not easy to stand on the outside and be fully aware of your desirability.”

She explained how she manages the urges, “I’m just busy. When I get home, I have things to do. In the morning, I’m supposed to be in an office by 7. I don’t have a life. I make sure I’m busy to distract myself from those temptations.”

She also shared a useful tip for dealing with those moments of temptation.

“But there are times when I feel the urge, and your body tells you to ‘changamka’ [get active],” she said with a laugh.

One significant factor contributing to Justina’s decision to stay celibate is her fear of intimate photos being leaked, a concern shared by many individuals in the public eye.

“It’s a lot of things,” she admitted. “When you’re an artist, everybody can be an enemy, and you don’t always know who you can trust. Even fellow artists can sometimes conspire against you.”
