Joji Baro has offered another insight into gay relationships as he opened up about his experience dating a violent man.
Baro, whose real name is George Barasa, revealed that he was currently single because he couldn’t endure violence in his relationship.
The Canadian-based gay said that his violent partner would have been his husband but he battered him in the safety of their matrimonial home.
“I am single by marital status because a man I thought who would have been my husband hit me with a slap across my face in the safety of our matrimonial bed and in that moment, my senses became alert and I was aware of my surrounding,” Joji Baro wrote.
He further wondered how many beatings slain LGBTQ+ activist and model Edwin Chiloba endured while dating Jackton Odhiambo who confessed to killing him.
“He apologized but I am not waiting for a second slap. How many time was Chiloba beaten up?” Joji Baro added.
Joji Baro’s revelation comes as Michelle Ntalami revealed that Chiloba went through a lot of traumatizing experience while dating Jackton Odhiambo.
Ntalami while eulogizing Chiloba lamented that she warned him several times about Odhiambo but he didn’t heed her advice.
“Edwin, you had big dreams that you shared with me. Dreams of being a global fashion icon and making it to the runways of Milan and New York. We were getting you there.😔 It’s heartbreaking to see that yes, you have now finally been recognized globally, but in such a tragic way. Painful, that he who claimed to love you broke your heart over and over, and eventually took your life. We talked about it so many times. That was NOT love. But that pure heart of yours would not let go. Oh darling.💔😔
But they will never know peace! Neither can they dim your light. I recall when one of my icons, Princess Diana died, and the whole world was in mourning, because she embodied LOVE. Same with you; anyone who embodies love leaves a gaping hole when they’re gone. Here you are, a little known soul from a small town in Kenya, now a global name. Our star, the world will always remember you!🌟” Michelle Ntalami wrote in part.
