Mombasa governor Hassan Joho has started posting his family on social media unlike before when he had kept his personal life strictly private.
Joho shared a photo of his son and him enjoying quality time together while celebrating father’s day.
“The power of a father in a child’s life is unmatched.
#HappyFathersDay,” he captioned the photo.
The Mombasa governor shares his son with his estranged wife Madina Giovanni Fazzini.
Madina filed for divorce from the Mombasa governor sometime in January this year after years of living apart.
She petitioned the Kadhi court Mombasa to dissolve her marriage stating in her affidavit she took the bold decision because there was no hope or possibility of reconciliation whatsoever with the Mombasa governor.
“Since the respondent moved out of matrimonial home in June 2013 the substance of our marriage has dissipated and has no basis to be sustained from a legal and/or social standpoint.
“It is obvious that there is no hope or possibility of reconciliation or compromise of whatever nature or kind between myself and the respondent,” Madina said in her affidavit.
Joho married Madina while he was still the MP for Kisauni. Their wedding was a low key affair that was only attended by family and close friends.
