Matatu businessman Jamal Marlow commonly known as Jimal Rohosafi has addressed claims of joining politics.
The Ex husband to socialite Amber Ray and business woman Amira was reportedly eyeing the Nairobi county gubernatorial seat.
In an interview last year, Jimal said that his main aim was to promote the transport industry and create jobs.
The chairman of the Nairobi Matatu Operators said that his 11 year experience in the transport industry made him the best candidate to govern the city since he understands the challenges that are facing the people.
“This city cannot be managed by an old person. I am 30 years and as a youth, I interact with most of them on a daily basis and I understand what they go through before they earn a living,” he told Word Is.
Jimal however decided to shelve his ambitions in leading the city saying that he is only focusing on his business.
“For those who are calling me to ask if am vying for any political seat, I am currently not vying neither will I be in the near future. 100% business,” the father of two said through Insta stories.
He also advised youths to stop focusing on politics and instead concentrate on the jobs and businesses.
“Politics in this country has become a joke/big scam. Every 10 youths I meet, 4 want to vie for MCA. My advice to youth, politics is a scam, concentrate with your job/business,” Jimal said.
