Former Citizen TV news anchor Janet Mbugua says she has not retired from mainstream media completely.
The mother of two had a one on one interview with Nairobi News and she was asked if there is a chance she will be back on the screens.
“I would say, never say never,” Janet said.
She added that she did not quit the media completely since she has been partnering with main stream media and she also does digital advocacy.
“I am not just regular anymore but I am still around. So far, the transition has been a blessing to me. I cannot complain,” she said, adding that she has been doing what she loves, meeting people worldwide and being passionate about social issues.
“Right now I’m enjoying the work I’m doing with my Inua Dada foundation combining media and advocacy. I’m enjoying the public speaking engagements, the collaborations with brands, and motherhood. These are the things I am so passionate about,” Janet said.
The veteran media personality quit Citizen TV in 2017 to concentrate on raising her children and because of burn out. A
“I was burnt out, I had a really young child at the time and there was an election coming up and I had an election burn out and I felt that this was the good time to step back,” she said in a past interview.
