Jalang’o secured an early win in the Lang’ata constituency race prompting his closest competitor Nixon Korir of UDA to throw in the towel.
Korir conceded early defeat to Jalang’o even before IEBC announced the winner in the Lang’ata race.
“To the people of Langata, I sincerely thank you for according me an opportunity to be your Member of Parliament for the last 5 years. Its been a great opportunity that gave me an avenue to contribute to our nation building and service to the people. From the results that we’ve tallied at the Generali centre, my competitor Jalango has a lead and I want to congratulate his as he prepares to take the mantle and move Langata forward. Siasa si chuki. God bless Langata,” Nixon Korir wrote on Facebook.
Jalango’s baby mama Cheptoek Boyo was quick to congratulate the Lang’ata MP-elect moments after Korir conceded defeat.
“Congratulations #BabaSalika @jalangoo you have fought so hard and you won. You are the perfect choice or the people of Lang’ata,” she posted on her Insta Stories.
