Eli Omundu and Morrisson Litiema stole cash from their former employer Jalang’o and ran away before they were arrested.
The Langata MP-elect claimed that his former staffers stole slightly over a million shillings from a car they were instructed to wash.
The two were on the run for nearly two weeks after the alleged theft before they surrendered.
Eli Omundu has been pleading with Jalang’o to forgive and rehire him as he struggles to make ends meet in his village.
“Hello Sir, please forgive me for my wrongdoings, I regret my actions, I promise I had no intentions of stealing from you, I was coerced into committing the offence. Ever since I was dismissed from my job, I have been suffering, please help me, “Eli wrote.
In his response, Jalang’o stated that he had lost trust in the two since they betrayed him.
“These guys stole money from me at a time I needed money the most. They broke the trust we had and betrayed the relationships we had built,” Jalango said.
In a recent interview, Jalang’o stated that he was deeply hurt to see what the two former employees are currently going through.
“It hurts so much to see what they’re going through. It hurts me so much. I forgave them and asked them to move on with their lives but they want to be reinstated. If it were you, would you bring them back?” he posed.
The comedian-turned-politician also divulged that the duo stole the money at a time he needed it for his campaigns.
He further asked bloggers to help him decide whether he should rehire the two or not.
“I am a man of a clean heart. Should you accept we have them back then we will surely have them back,” he added.
