“I’ve Not Entirely Left NTV” Churchill Speaks On His Decision To Move His Show To TV47

Churchill Show has left NTV after nearly 15 years, Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill has since told his fans why he moved his show to TV47.

Churchill Show aired exclusively aired on NTV from 2007 to 2016 after which the comedian also signed another deal to have the comic show also air on DSTV’s on Maisha Magic East.

Churchill Show took a break at the dawn of the Covid-19 pandemic, the comedian used to interview celebrities on the time slot that had been allocated on NTV.

The lifting of Covid-19 regulations allowed public gatherings and Churchill show will soon be coming back on our screens on 20th March this year, not on NTV anymore but on TV47.

Speaking on moving his comedy show to TV47, Churchill said he had not entirely left NTV.

“NTV first of all ni kama nyumbani, sijatoka kabisa. And I really want to thank them for the journey we’ve taken together all those years. We’ve grown a lot of products with them from Redykyulass, Intrucolors, Redkorna, Churchill Live and now Churchill Show. And it’s growth. It comes to point where now we have to look at where we are in life and transition. You see they say experience is not what happens to a man is what a man does is what happens to him,” said Churchill during an interview on TV47.

The comedian revealed that he moved his show from NTV to TV47 because he was given a long term contract. He revealed his contract with NTV used to be on a short term basis subject to renewal after each expiry.

“Where we came into agreement with TV47 was the vision they had for entertainment, not only in Kenya but also in East Africa. When we sat down with the chairman, Mr. Simon, we were clear with where we wanted to go. While in NTV, I worked on 2-3 year contracts but in TV47 it’s not about the period but the plan of where we want to go,” Churchill said.
