The woman who made headlines for tattooing Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has finally opened up about her unconventional tribute.
Speaking candidly to online journalists, the stunning admirer from Embakasi South constituency expressed her strong support for the young politician and his progressive political agenda.
“I always recognize Babu Owino because this is not his first tattoo; I drew the first one back when I was in the form four. I acknowledged the impactful work he does for the community,” she shared.
The woman continued, passionately detailing why she holds Babu in such high regard.
“In Nairobi, very few politicians do what he does. He treats everyone equally, regardless of their tribe, and that’s why I proudly wave his flag. Politics runs in my veins, and if I support you, it’s genuine.”
On the cost of her devotion, she revealed that she spent a hefty sum to immortalize her admiration for Owino.
“I spent Ksh10,000 over four hours for this tattoo. The first one was Ksh3,500. I arrived at the tattoo parlor at 9 PM and didn’t leave until 1 am. That amount could have covered two months’ rent, but I thought, if it’s not good, then it’s not good!”
In a surprising twist, the tattooed woman admitted that, despite her devoted gesture, Babu Owino doesn’t even know who she is.
“Babu Owino has no idea who I am, even though I know him very well. We’ve never met, but I dream of the day when I can finally shake his hand.”
The level of dedication she has for the MP is nothing short of extraordinary.
“When I wake up every morning, the first thing I do is wash his face on my tattoo, apply oil, and ask him if he’s okay. I even whisper to his image that if food comes my way, it’s coming from him,” she said with a smile.
With such passionate support, perhaps one day Babu Owino will indeed recognize his biggest fan!
