"I'm Struggling To Come Up With Jokes" Nasra Comes Clean On Why Is No Longer On Churchill Show

Comedienne Nasra Yusuf has not been on Churchill Show for two years sparking claims she quit the comedy show for good.

Speaking during a recent interview with YouTuber Presenter Ali, Nasra clarified that she didn’t quit Churchill Show but rather just left because she was struggling to create jokes.

Ali sought to find out why Nasra was not back on Churchill Show even after the show went back on air after a long hiatus occasioned by Covid-19.

“After Covid Churchill ilikuwa imepotea, it came back, but sijakuona Churchill. Ni kwa nini, ama umetoka kabisa?” Presenter Ali asked Nasra.

Nasra explained that since Coronavirus pandemic struck she took time off comedy and lost ultimately lost her creative ability to come up with jokes.

“Hapana sijatoka, ni vile… sijui niseme aje. When Covid came, vitu mingi zili change sindio? And for me hiyo time, manze nimesahau kuandika mistari, si ati ni kitu ingine [laughs]. Si ati niko na excuse ingine. Ai! Manze I’m struggling kuandika joke, una understand?”.

Nasra also disclosed that she frequently gets offers for comedy gigs, but she does not feel ready to be on stage just yet.

“Kila time mi hupata kuna poster zina creatiwa, naambiwa niaje utapiga hii show ya Mombasa? Utapiga hii Kisumu, sijui wapi? And I’m like, guys sina mistari. Na turn down. Na I don’t want niende stage, after two years, eh wasee wanashindwa ‘ey, what happened? huyu ni nini ilifanyika?’ So nataka nijitafute pole pole tu. Siku mtaniona stage mtajua nimejipata.”

Nasra has turned out to be a an online content creator.
