Thee Pluto, recently made a heart-wrenching admission about his struggle with depression, stating that it is gradually consuming him from within.

On his Instagram Stories, Pluto shared about his situation, having previously posted a photo of himself in a car with the caption “Taking a few days long drive.”

Although celebrities often depict exotic lifestyles in their social media posts and express feelings of joy and contentment through their captions, most of them are susceptible to mental health issues such as depression and anxiety due to the high expectations expected of them by fans.

Apart from Thee Pluto, a number of Kenyan celebrities have also opened up on having faced depression, they include; Kimani Mbugua, Betty Bayo, Kenzo Matata, Annitah Raey, Njambi, Ciru Muriuki, Anita Nderu, Prezzo, Vanessa Mdee, Miss Morgan, OJ, Joey Muthenji, Mejja, Pierra Makena, Grace Ekirapa, Chito Ndlovu, Maureen Waititu, Njoro the Comedian, and Robert Burale, and many others.

Thee Pluto shared on Saturday that he is struggling with depression and requested his fans to pray for him.

Honestly, I’m losing it. Depression is eating me slowly from the inside. Pray for me,” he said.

Pluto has been in the news recently over his source of money and how he manages to afford his lavish lifestyle.

Depression is a mental health condition that has seen an increase in cases over the years. In 2017, the World Health Organization (WHO) ranked Kenya as the most depressed country in Africa, with 4.4% of its population affected by the disorder.
