Coast-born singer Masauti has revealed that he dropped out of school in form 2.
Speaking during Kula Cooler show with Oga Obinna, Masauti said that he struggled so much with education that he even doesn’t know how he got to form two.
“I went to several schools, one was Ananda Marga, Imara Daima and Ronald Gideon Ngala,” the Ipepete hitmaker revealed, prompting Obinna to question him how he used to perform.
“Dah! Noma. Ilinipepeta,” the artist responded and further warned people not to question him about his education, saying that he was not good in school.
“Wacha nikuwe honest hata mtu akiniona asiniulize maswali ya shule. Mimi shule sikuwa vizuri Kabisa. Atleast nilifika hapo form mbili, nikaachilia hapo lakini results za class 8 hazikuwa vizuri, ni ile tu nilijisukuma sukuma nikafika hio form 2 hata sijui nilifika vipi hio form 2 lakini ilikuwa noma. Hio form one sikuwahi kusoma hata nashangaa nilifika form 2,” Masauti admitted.
He however noted that God gave him a talent that has seen him earn a living.
“Lakini Alhamdulilahi, Mungu ni nani akikunyima hapa anakupatia huku akasema kijana yangu we ni mwimbaji si msomi fanya uimbaji wako bora tuu utie bidii,” Masauti said.
