The Inspector General of police Hillary Mutyambai has addressed the viral clip of Janet Mbugua’s husband Eddie Ndichu engaged in a fight.
Through his #engageIG forum on twitter, Mutyambai urged complainants to file an official report.
“This incident should be reported to the nearest police station for action,” Mutyambai said.
In the clip, Eddie together with his twin brother Paul Ndichu are seen fighting with some individuals.
According to the expose by activist Bonface Mwangi and blogger Edgar Obare, the two brothers attacked a woman, her sister and her boyfriend while at a restaurant in Nairobi over the weekend.
It is alleged that the Ndichu brothers were hitting on the said women who refused to give in to their advances.
“Yesterday, my sister and I were attacked by the Ndichu twins for respectfully turning them down. They threatened to shoot us and ruin our lives,” the victim’s sister allegedly told Mwangi.
In the video that has gone viral in social media, one of the brothers in a white T-shirt is seen struggling to break a car’s side mirror before joining the other inside the hotel in assaulting their victims.
The video has elicited mixed reactions but however some netizens are not convinced with it since it does not capture events that led to the fight
“We want an impartial investigation into the Ndichu twins.. an edited video to make one party look like the victim is not acceptable sir. What Mwangi and crew need to show is the full video from the start,” Tito Antony said on twitter.
