“I Didn’t Leave The Bahatis With Any Ill Feelings” Bahati’s Former Driver Vaite Speaks

Philip Muguna aka Vaite has come out to explain why he stopped working for The Bahati family as their driver, just weeks after Irene Nekesa did the same.

Vaite met Bahati while working as an Uber driver in 2017. He would then proceed to work for the celebrity couple as their official  driver from 2020 after the covid lock down. This is after he reached out to Bahati for a job since the Uber business was not paying well.

In an interview, Vaite said that he did not leave the Bahatis with any  bad blood.

“I always say life is about climbing stairs. If you’re on the first floor, aim to get to the second floor. I didn’t leave Bahati with any ill feelings. I will not say where I am currently. My family is growing, and so is my mind. I felt it was time for someone else to take the position and grow as I did,” he said.

He acknowledged that the family has helped him a lot, as Diana would often do shopping for his family.

“Baha na Diana mahali mmenitoa, Mungu awabariki sana… Tumefanya nao kazi wakiwa wazuri sana kwangu. Tulikuwa tunaenda na Dee kufanya shopping, anafanya yake na anafanya yangu ananiambia Vaite pelekea watoto,” Vaite said.

He further vowed to get physical with those who speak ill of the Bahati family.

“When someone helps you grow and reach a certain level, don’t leave with bitterness. Don’t tarnish their name. I left so another driver could benefit and elevate themselves too….Nikipitia niskie unaongea mbaya juu yao tutapigana. Angalia watu wanaita Josephine, Irene, wamejengwa na nani? Na mii nimejengwa na nani? Bahati,”
