Kenyans have pushed Akothee, out of social media like they did, former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a long post rant, Akothee wonders why Kenyans hate her with passion and the reasons they hate on everything she does and share with her fans online.
Even the toughest break at a point, and this is what she’s going through. After putting a tough face for years, the trolls have finally won.
“WHAT ELSE IS LEFT TO POST?” she asks.
Akothee also advices Kenyans to enjoy life in private because, that’s the only way one can be sane and have peace; the Internet is chaos and hatred.
“Show less of your achievements on social media.” madam boss tells her fans.
“Don’t post your family on social media. Don’t post your pregnancy on social media. Don’t post your movements on social media.” she further adds.
Recently, when she was pregnant, a hater commented, she would suffer a miscarriage, and true to the inhumane words, she lost her pregnancy and her life almost.
“The truth of the matter is ,we have more of evil eyes than people who are truly happy for you.” Akoth continues.
“People envy what you have ,forgetting there is a price you paid for everything you got now. Admiration has turned into envy into jealousy and finally upgraded into witchcraft.”
In African societies and even those from other continents, charms and witchcraft is widely practiced, some believe it actually works, I don’t.
A few years ago, socialite Amber Ray was accused of using the famous and powerful Ukambani witchcraft to attract, keep and manipulate her lovers.
A viral photo of her with chicken and other questionable paraphernalia, at a dingy location resulted to her being nicknamed ‘Demakuku.’
Social media is not what it used to be. It has unfortunately transitioned from a networking platform to battle field. Every day, people get attacked by people they don’t know; people they’ve never met in real life. It has been normalized sadly.
“Facebook/ Instagram came for socialization, and linking up with family and friends, all over sudden turned into glam life, you feel exited to post good memories and some achievements to encourage your followers/fans, which some of them might be doing better than us, but some of them don’t absorb it positively, you know why?”
“It’s because they can’t imagine it’s happening to you and not them? Why you?” Akothee explains.
But all is not lost, one can still dwell online but with an attitude, this is not for the faint but for the brave hearted ones.
Trolls and haters will always exist, albeit being so unfortunate. We must understand their lives amongst us, crazy people with access to the Internet, and they’ll say anything, just to hurt your feelings.
“Just know that as you work hard for yourself to go up, some are on their knees day and night to see you collapse and meet them down there.”
“They are down and not willing to climb the ladder ,or they are too impatient to even try get up.” she says.
Akothee has risen from the bottom to where she currently is, out of persevering, and hard work. Her story is well told and known across all media platforms.
“All the investments you see are more than 20 or so years. Waking up and dreaming of a mansion in Karen, yet you don’t even have a Job is enough code leading you straight to depression.” a dejected Akothee in pain narrates.
Additionally, she hopes people can see things with a third eye and act accordingly.
“Learn to look at things on social media with a different mentality. Not everyone on social media is your age mate, agweng mate school mate class mate or dream mate. Just do you or quite social media other than wishing people evil.” she says.
Finally, after all the trolls and hatred from netizens, her tough and thick skin has had enough of the attacks. “If there is anything you should quit this year is not alcohol, “QUIT HATE” ENVY ” JEALOUSY ” COMPETITION,” she says.
Madam boss is leaving the internet to have peace, because she can’t take it anymore.
“I am quitting social media soon. I have nothing to post that won’t make you angry or frustrated, I have nothing to post that won’t look like a show off ,or faking it. I want you to have peace 2023.” she ends her national address.
